About the event
Oil GiantToronto, ON
Featuring members of Dilly Dally and So Tired, Oil Giant is a noise rock four-piece known for their frenzied live shows. The group blends abrasive guitars and muscular rhythms to create an explosive sonic backdrop for their incisive, darkly funny lyrics, which explore the anxious turbulence of modern life with sinister, joyous abandon.
MinotMissoula, MT
Overgrown teenaged garage punk muffins Minot bring their sonic take on the raw, the cheap and the lo-fi. The Missoula three-piece embodies the primitive and simple roots through the vehicle of budget rock-sprinkled punk, ‘60s garage, and pop influences. Check out their latest release Walls//People Pleaser for a two-song taster of what we’re in for.
Lennie RayenNorth Bay, ON
24-year-old indie rock songwriter Lennie Rayen creates music that pulls you in by being honest without oversharing and poetic without pretending. Pairing a magnetic voice with direct lyricism and infectious melodies, her debut LP Entertain The Space is said to be her most confessional work to date.LushingsCalgary, AB
Channeling ’90s alternative rock into layered soundscapes that feel both intimate and expansive, Lushings was initially shaped by their shared influence within Calgary's music scene and have since become a familiar presence at Sled Island. Weaving hazy melodies through walls of heavy guitar, their live sets are immersive and unfiltered.
