Qawwali Flamenco

From Pakistan to Andalusia, musical traditions have crossed paths, nourished one another, and blended so thoroughly that between the power and virtuosity of qawwali singing and the hypnotic lyricism of flamenco, distances fade and similarities emerge.

Qawwali Flamenco marks the return of the celebrated collaboration between Pakistani qawwali master Faiz Ali Faiz and flamenco guitar virtuoso Juan Gómez “Chicuelo.” Following their acclaimed first collaboration a decade ago, the two reunite to deepen their artistic dialogue. While their first collaboration explored the relationship between human beings and their beloved, this new creation turns toward the connection between humanity and the divine.
