Peters & Kinger & Baskin & Szabo

One Thursday night at Congress, he finally does it in front of an audience with a band behind him. Backing him up: his friend of 38 years (and never kissed a squirrel), Stephen “Kinger” King (of Memphis and The Grande) on guitar, harp and harmonies, with veteran, multi-genre local players Mark Szabo (bass) and Corey Baskin (drums) rounding out the quartet. Over 100 years of collective experience, on one of Calgary’s best-sounding stages.

At its heart, the set is a journey into Canadiana. Jeff Healey, Blue Rodeo and the Tragically Hip, folded in with modern songs from Noah Kahan and Chappell Roan, plus a handful of folk and acoustic standards. A charming evening with charming food & drinks and charming friends.
