Lougheed House - or Lougheed Barracks? When the Canadian Women's Army Corps was stationed here during World War II, Lougheed House was known by another name. From their uniforms and mascots to their perseverance and strength that opened doors for women today, this house tour will guide you through this unique chapter of Lougheed House history.
About Lougheed House:
Located in Calgary's greater downtown amid acres of heritage gardens and green space, Lougheed House was built in 1891 and is now an accredited museum, significant Calgary landmark, and vibrant community gathering space. It features temporary and permanent exhibits, hosts events, tours, and learning opportunities for visitors of all ages, as well as a gift shop and private event space.
