Oh Mother! was listed as a “Best Bet” by the Calgary Herald when it debuted at the 2025 Calgary Fringe.
A story of a young artist in a family that doesn’t understand her art.
One of twelve children, Bekah discovers her calling early on. She’s meant to be a painter. But her mother tells her that painting won’t “change the world,” leading Bekah to delve into questions of what living a practical life truly entails.
Oh Mother! is an outlandish comedy that follows the (mostly) true story of multidisciplinary artist Rebbekah Ogden from Lethbridge to Saskatchewan and finally to Lunchbox where she will unravel her complex history while painting her imaginary friend, plucked straight from the audience.
