Conceived by Rolling Stones tour manager Ian Stewart and built in 1968, the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio (RSM) helped redefine how — and where — albums could be made. It’s only fitting to begin with their 1971 release Sticky Fingers, a chart-topping record and the debut on their own label. Released April 23, 1971, the album blends raw rock, country, blues, and soul into a cohesive, era-defining sound. Featuring enduring tracks like "Brown Sugar," "Wild Horses," and "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," it also marked a turning point in the band’s artistic control and identity — complete with its iconic Andy Warhol – designed cover. More than a hit record, Sticky Fingers captures a band expanding its sound and setting the tone for 1970s rock.
