Lest We Forget

Created by JP Thibodeau and Joe Slabe
With music and lyrics by Joe Slabe and Dan Perrott

Lest We Forget reflects the many aspects of war and conflict from World War I to the present day, and tickets are free! Not just a story about soldiers and peacekeepers, Lest We Forget is also about the families left behind, civilians, refugees, war brides, child evacuees—in short, it’s the story of all of us who have ever been touched by armed conflict.

Based on interviews and the archival letters of those who shared their wartime experiences, the show consists of a series of original songs and monologues that make us realize that the stories of our veterans, our immigrants, and our refugees are part of our common experience as Canadians—and the story of who we aspire to be as a nation.

In collaboration with Forte Musical Theatre.
