Flourish Festival of Letters and Art

Flourish Festival of Letters & Art unfolds over four inspiring days, with creative energy flowing from morning to evening. Daily workshops offer immersive, hands-on classes led by internationally respected artists, welcoming a wide range of skill levels and creative backgrounds. Participants can expect focused studio time, fresh techniques, and plenty of space to explore lettering in all its forms. On Thursday and Friday from 4:00–6:00 pm, the festival opens its doors for Serendipity Hour, a relaxed open house where visitors can drop in, explore the festival atmosphere, meet artists, and experience the joy of letters and art in action. Each evening features special events and creative gatherings, designed for connection, conversation, and a little creative play once the day’s classes wind down. On October 21, the festival offers two-hour introductory classes created especially for beginners and the calligraphy-curious. These sessions are welcoming, low-pressure, and perfect for anyone who’s ever been intrigued by beautiful letters and wanted to try their hand at making them. Whether you’re attending a single session or immersing yourself in the full festival, Flourish offers a rich mix of learning, discovery, and creative community, all set in the heart of Calgary.
