About the event
Raw, urgent, and deeply resonant, Dear Evan Hansen by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul with a book by Steven Levenson captures the complexities of growing up in a hyper-connected yet profoundly isolating world. The musical follows Evan, an anxious high school student who finds himself swept into a web of misunderstanding that spirals into something far bigger than he ever intended. As a single letter takes on a life of its own, Evan is forced to confront truth, identity, and the deep human need to be seen.
Driven by a contemporary score and emotionally charged storytelling, Dear Evan Hansen navigates themes of mental health, belonging, and the impact of our choices with striking honesty. Balancing moments of humour with piercing vulnerability, the show speaks directly to a generation searching for connection—reminding us that even in our most isolated moments, we are not alone, and that honesty, however difficult, is where true healing begins.
