About the event
Meet Dr. Accordion!
Everyone is welcome at this relaxed, sensory friendly concert at TELUS Spark. Written by Canadian digital accordion champion Michael Bridge (AKA Dr. Accordion), Classical Adaptations: Follow the Feeling is a fascinating and fun exploration of “all the feels” music evokes. Learn about musical mindfulness while you discover your feelings and paired with music.
You can also join in the fun with polyrhythmic clapping, and take part in a live arranging session where musical decisions come to life in real-time. Featuring songs from Canada, Brazil, Bulgaria (and beyond!), immerse yourself in the interactive, exciting musical world of Dr. Accordion. You have to see it to believe it!
As with all Honens Classical Adaptations concerts, you can enjoy this easygoing and engaging musical experience in whatever way makes you feel best—move, dance, make sound, or simply listen comfortably.
Registration is $5 per group. To eliminate financial barriers, we will refund your $5 registration fee when you attend the event. If you wish to donate your fee, please let us know when you check in.
Bring your Honens ticket to the TELUS Spark admission desk on 22 June to enjoy $5 off admission for the day. The whole building will be transformed into an even more inclusive, neurodivergent-friendly space by reducing sensory stimuli.
