About The GCB: Based in Calgary, The GCB (青蓝) is a Canadian-Chinese ensemble that masterfully bridges the gap between Eastern tradition and Western modernity. Known for their "cinematic" sound, the band blends rich, traditional Chinese melodies with the power and structure of contemporary rock. The GCB uses music as a universal language to explore themes of identity, migration, and shared emotion. Their performances move fluidly between delicate, introspective string passages and high-intensity, guitar-driven rhythms.
