About the event
The Alberta Dance Theatre Youth Artists present "The Wanderer" a dance and theatre adaptation of Peter Van den Ende's original picture book.
A fragile paper boat sets sail. Adventure awaits in coral reefs and deep sea dives. Friends and foes are tossed amongst ocean waves. Journey with the paper boat through loneliness and connection, cruelty and beauty, and discover what is waiting at the journey's end!
The Youth Artists, in grades 1 - 12, co-create alongside professional choreographers, playwrights, composers and designers for 10 weeks. This season they explored the impact humans have on the environment, greed, resilience, and created a whole cast of quirky characters from under the sea!
