About the event
Embark on a family-friendly adventure at the Alberta Biodiversity Festival—an immersive experience where fun meets conservation to celebrate and protect our province’s natural wonders. Join us on September 11-13, 2026 for the next festival.
From the beautiful grasslands to the iconic boreal forest, Alberta’s natural landscapes are diverse and captivating. This festival empowers visitors with the knowledge, tools, and inspiration needed to take action for Alberta’s fish, water, wildlife, and ecosystems. This collaborative endeavour was made possible through the partnership between the Wilder Institute’s Calgary Zoo and the Government of Alberta, including their Bow Habitat Station in Inglewood. Join us annually to celebrate the rich biodiversity in our province and learn about how we can protect these diverse ecosystems.
We will be celebrating Alberta Biodiversity Festival at the zoo from September 11 – 13. We look forward to welcoming you back for more family-friendly activities. On September 19, we will be celebrating the Alberta Biodiversity Festival finale event at Bow Habitat Station with community partners.
Alberta Biodiversity Festival is included in your day admission ticket from September 11 – 13.
