SUMMARY:Kimball Theatre Organ: Haunting Halloween Demonstrations
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special Halloween-themed demonstration of the Nat
ional Music Centre's 1924 Kimball Theatre Organ.\n\nBe bewitched by the org
an's ghoulish and ghastly sounds! This monstrosity of an instrument was onc
e used to create sound effects and music for silent films. Stitched togethe
 r from hundreds of pipes\, drums\, and chimes\, this 100-year-old organ now
rests in the heart of the National Music Centre.\n\nOn Halloween\, this in
strument will be reanimated to accompany clips from classic silent horror f
ilms and cartoons. Learn about the art of early cinema as you watch movie m
onsters stalk across the silver screen.\n\nhttps://www.visitcalgary.com/eve
