SUMMARY:James Keelaghan & Jez Lowe with Jenny Allen opening
DESCRIPTION:James Keelaghan & Jez Lowe - A chance meeting at a folk festiva
l almost thirty years ago has led to a musical collaboration between two si
nger-songwriters\, our own James Keelaghan and Jez Lowe from England\, that
has seen them play to audiences around the globe\, from North America to A
ustralia and to Europe\, and which continues to this day.\n\nEvery couple o
f years they each take a break from their busy solo careers to share stages
and songs and inspire each other with their voices\, their wit and a frien
dship that lights up each performance. The pair share an Irish heritage tha
t certainly informs their writing and brings with it an enthusiasm for boun
dary-breaking and storytelling in song that is both infectious and enthrall
ing\, timeless and contemporary\, unpredictable and yet focused. In other w
ords\, they surely and inevitably bring the best out of each other.\n\nJenn
y Allen – Alberta artist Allen has been captivating audiences for years\,
as she does something very challenging: have music as a career. A good fri
end of the BVMC\, we are excited to have Jenny Allen open for her long-time
  friend\, James.\n\nhttps://www.visitcalgary.com/events/james-keelaghan-jez
