t is Beaver Fest?\n\nIn the spirit of regeneration\, this inagural festival
is a tribute and celebration of all things Beaver. Through sharing Beaver-
 themed food\, live music\, games\, and some surprise activities\, we'll lea
rn all about these charming\, keystone animals that share and shape our lan
dscapes.\n\nBeavers play a special role in our rivers and ecosystems. Just
by pursuing their own lives\, they help regenerate the wider landscapes aro
und them. Their dams help slow and store water\, create wetlands\, provide
habitat for wildlife\, increase biodiversity\, filter water for our rivers\
, and make our watersheds more resilient to drought\, floods\, and wildfire
s.\n\nBeaver Fest is an opportunity to have some fun while discovering the
 remarkable relationships between beavers\, wetlands\, healthy landscapes\,
and the water we depend on every day.\n\nWhat to Expect\n\nSpend the aftern
oon at beautiful North Glenmore Park and enjoy:\n\n• Beaver-themed food &
  treats\n• Live music\n• Family-friendly activities\n• Beaver and wil
dlife education\n• Watershed and wetland learning\n• Local conservation
and community organizations\n• Opportunities to learn about restoring he
 althy beaver habitat\n• And plenty of beaver-themed fun\nWhether you’re
  a lifelong nature lover\, curious about Calgary’s watersheds\, looking f
or something fun to do with the family\, or simply think beavers are awesom
 e\, you’re invited.\n\nWhy Beavers?\n\nBeavers have been shaping the wate
rways of this landscape for thousands of years.\n\nBy building dams and cre
ating wetlands\, beavers can help water stay on the landscape longer—supp
 orting fish\, birds\, amphibians\, plants and countless other species.\n\nH
ealthy beaver habitat can also help communities think differently about som
e of the biggest water challenges facing Southern Alberta: drought\, floodi
ng\, biodiversity loss\, water quality and watershed resilience.\n\nBeaver
Fest is about celebrating these relationships and imagining what becomes po
ssible when we work with nature to restore our watersheds.\n\nWhat is the E
xact Location of the Event?\n\nThe event will take place in North Glenmore
Park near Vista Point and Parking Lot A. It will be in the field south of t
he Boathouse\, close to Blue Jay and Meadowlark picnic sites. We look forwa
 rd to seeing you there.\n\nhttps://www.visitcalgary.com/events/calgary-beav
