SUMMARY:Calgary Burns Club Singers
DESCRIPTION:We are called Singers because calling us a choir seems a bit fo
rmal\, with its attendant expectation of trained singers with a high level
of discipline. We’re a bunch of older Scotsmen who like to sing and have
a lot of fun doing so.\n\nThe program content was chosen to present a selec
tion of Scottish songs\, including our salute to Robert Burns and the well-
known Loch Lomond\, a bit of humour with the Battle Hymn of Aging\, and our
Canadian content with the Banks of Newfoundland. And with Remembrance Day
just around the corner\, we include Our Comrades Who Answer the Call\, wher
e we honour our military and remind us all of the ongoing threats to our pe
 aceful way of life.\n\nhttps://www.visitcalgary.com/events/calgary-burns-cl
