SUMMARY:Artist Talk and Workshop: Safety\, Vigilance & the Stories We Carry
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever walked with your keys between your fingers\, chan
ged your route home\, called someone while walking alone\, or asked for hel
p because you felt unsafe?\n\nSuzanne’s work explores the quiet ways we p
rotect ourselves when we feel vulnerable. In this free artist talk and work
shop\, she’ll share the ideas behind her work and invite participants to
anonymously share their own experiences of safety\, vigilance\, unwanted at
 tention\, and self-protection.\n\nUsing remnants from Suzanne’s quilts\,
we’ll turn these often-unspoken experiences into a collective visual artw
 ork.\n\nShare a story\, create\, listen\, or simply be part of the conversa
tion. You only share what feels comfortable.\n\nhttps://www.visitcalgary.co
