SUMMARY:Estuary / Constantinople - Kiya Tabassian\, Ablaye Cissoko\, Patric
 k Graham
DESCRIPTION:Come and share a magical moment as the setar\, kora\, and percu
ssion intertwine\, creating music that soothes the soul.\n\nThe estuary\, a
place where freshwater meets saltwater\, evokes passage\, renewal\, and fe
rtility. It is a space of transition and transformation\, where unexpected
possibilities emerge—just like the musical encounters imagined by Constan
tinople.\n\nKiya Tabassian and Ablaye Cissoko\, both eternal musical explor
ers who build bridges between cultures and eras\, have been working and col
laborating together for over a decade and have traveled through imaginary w
orlds stretching between Persia and the Mandinka kingdoms.\n\nWith Estuary\
, they bring together the currents of their musical memories and offer stor
ies inspired by figures of profound nobility and humanity\, reimagined thro
ugh a universal language. Just like their voices\, the strings of their set
ar and kora respond to and intertwine with each other\, while the outstandi
ng percussionist Patrick Graham supports and colours this sonic alcove\, wh
ere the listener—privileged witness to this encounter—is invited to ent
 er.\n\nhttps://www.visitcalgary.com/events/estuary-constantinople-kiya-taba
