DESCRIPTION:Join Tsering Asha Leba\, Senior Editor at Avenue Magazine\, and
  Alicia L'Archeveque\, Editor of The Scene\, to learn the basics of connect
 ing with local media and gain confidence in sharing your story! This worksh
 op is designed to help artists at all levels better understand the media pr
 ocess\, from making connections to pitching your work and building relation
 ships with storytellers. We’ll cover how to connect with editors at Avenu
 e and The Scene\, RedPoint Media publications\, how to share your story\, a
 nd what makes a strong pitch. You’ll also take part in an Elevator Pitch 
 activity\, where you’ll practice introducing yourself and your work in on
 e minute\, with opportunities to receive feedback and refine your pitch. Th
 rough practical tips and hands-on exercises\, you’ll leave with more conf
 idence in sharing your story and connecting with the media.\n\n- Registrati
