DESCRIPTION:Founded in Calgary in 2004\, the Mount Royal Zhi-Yin Choir is a
  non-profit community choir brought together by a shared love of singing\, 
 friendship\, and cultural connection.\n\nLed by founder and conductor Shana
  Yang\, our choir is made up of adults from diverse backgrounds and profess
 ions. Though we come from different walks of life\, we are united by one si
 mple joy: the love of music and the desire to share it with others.\n\n“Z
 hi-Yin” means a friend who understands your music and your heart. This sp
 irit is at the heart of our choir. Through Chinese popular and classical re
 pertoire\, we celebrate the beauty of Chinese music while creating connecti
 ons across cultures and generations. Over the years\, the Zhi-Yin Choir has
  performed for audiences in Calgary and beyond\, including Edmonton\, Vanco
 uver\, New York\, and Taipei. Every performance is an opportunity for us to
  share not only our voices\, but also a piece of our culture\, our memories
