 hots is a writer and game designer. She is the Author of Hench (William Mor
 row\, 2020)\, a novel about the mistreated and undervalued employees of sup
 ervillains. The direct sequel\, Villian\, will be released on May 19\, 2026
 . Hench was a finalist on the 2021 season of Canada Reads and was nominated
  for a Locus Award for Best First Novel. Natalie is the Narrative Director 
 at Double Rex Studios\, currently at work on their debut title\, Thumbsplit
 ter. Her work also includes LARP scripts\, heavy metal music journalism\, v
 ideo game story bibles\, and weirder things classified as "interactive expe
 riences." Her poetic exploration of the notes engine in Bloodborne was feat
 ured in Kotaku and First Person Scholar\, and her writing on the interactiv
 e adventure The Aluminum Cat won an IndieCade award for Innovation in Exper
 ience Design. She is (unfortunately) the author of two books of experimenta
 l poetry: Thumbscrews\, which won the Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative 
 Poetry\; and DOOM: Love Poems for Supervillains. Natalie plays a lot of TTR
 PGs\, participates in a lot of Nordic LARPs\, watches a lot of horror movie
 s and reads a lot of speculative fiction. She lives in Nova Scotia with her
  partner and four morally bankrupt cats.Jill Hartman lives in Calgary with 
 her menagerie and husband. She has a BA and MA in Creative Writing from the
  university of Calgary. A Painted Elephant and Booty are her two books of p
 oetry\, and she has also been published and published in small press throug
 hout Canada. Jill’s first poem was about her mother’s favourite colour 
 (blue)\; topics since have included elephants\, the Stampede\, dance\, cowb
 oy poetry\, and feminism delivered via dirty jokes. Ongoing projects includ
 e ghost stories and tall tales. Her favourite poet is Robert Kroetsch.\n\nh
