DESCRIPTION:Collagraph is a collage-based printing technique which encourag

 responsive.\n\nIn our workshop we will employ both dry and wet techniques t
 o create imagery through textures. We will learn how to make collagraph ima
 gery on plates\, and how to ink\, wipe\, and print our collagraphs.\n\nNo e

 ed materials create tone\n\n• How to approach atmospheric imagery employi
 ng sandpaper\, cutting\, glue\, vinyl\, tape and fabric\n\n• How to ink p
 lates with oil-based inks\n\n• How to print plates with an etching press\
 n\nAbout the instructor:\n\nMorgan Melenka is a visual artist based in Mohk
 instsis (Calgary). She uses architectural forms and materials to engage wit
 h history and place\, employing sculpture\, installation and printmaking. S
 he teaches visual art and is a scenic painter for film and television. She 
 teaches printmaking at AU Arts and has taught at the University of Calgary\
