SUMMARY:Rupture(d): Constructing a Point of View in the Expanded Narrative
DESCRIPTION:The Alberta Society of Artists is pleased to present the solo e
 xhibition Rupture(d): Constructing a Point of View in the Expanded Narrativ
 e\, featuring the 360° photographic works of Alberta artist Don Sucha.\n\n
 “Photographs are often narratives\, and panoramic photographs expand this
  narrative because of the amount of information panoramas contain. The phot
 ographs in Rupture(d) are 360-degree panoramas presented in the “Little P
 lanet” projection\, which flattens the spherical image into a two-dimensi
 onal plane while maintaining (most) of the total information\, and giving t
 he photographer the ability to change the point of view presented to the be
 holder. The exhibition consists of 10 framed works that represent three the
 matic genres: Narratives\, Portraits\, and Mandalas. The photographs are no
 t separated by genre\, however\, but are apparent through title or\, simply
 \, what is obvious to the viewer.”\n\nA reception with an artist talk wil
