 ness and music technology.\n\nPart educational experience\, part immersive 
 listening session\, the program invites participants to engage with sound a
 s both a scientific phenomenon and a deeply personal\, sensory experience.\
 n\nThis session features the Buchla 200e\, a modern modular synthesizer sys
 tem introduced in 2004 and rooted in Don Buchla’s pioneering 1970s-era de
 signs. The 200e retains a largely analog signal path while incorporating mo
 dern hybrid enhancements such as MIDI control\, patch memory\, internal rou
 ting systems\, and expanded voltage-controlled parameters.\n\nThe 200e refl
 ects Buchla’s ongoing commitment to experimental design and non-tradition
 al approaches to synthesis. Unlike keyboard-driven instruments\, it emphasi
 zes gesture\, control voltage\, and timbral exploration over conventional m
 elody and harmony. Its legacy is closely tied to West Coast synthesis and m
 odular sound design\, and to a broader lineage of electronic music that tre
