DESCRIPTION:Join HOME Residency artists Jona Redwood and Yu Chen for an art
 ist talk exploring identity\, belonging\, cultural memory\, and the persona
 l meanings carried through handcrafted objects and portraiture. Jona will s
 hare their practice creating dreamcatchers\, jewelry\, and interactive craf
 t experiences as intentional forms of grounding\, self-expression\, mindful
 ness\, and connection.\n\nYu Chen will speak about her oil painting practic
 e\, which uses portraiture and traditional attire to explore immigrant iden
 tity\, cultural exchange\, and collaboration. Together\, the artists will r
 eflect on how art can hold personal stories\, honour cultural meaning\, and
  create space for connection across lived experiences.\n\nThis is part of t
 he HOME residency in July/August 2026 and is gratefully funded by Calgary A
