DESCRIPTION:Trial 09 is a high energy prog rock band from Calgary\, and the
  passion project of guitarist/songwriter Max Singh. Drawing inspiration fro
 m bands like Dream Theatre\, Rush\, King Crimson and more\, their mission i
 s to blend memorability\, technicality\, and explosive live energy. \n\nPh
 reqed is a Calgary based band performing 70s style alt rock/funk fusion. Th
 e band features slapp style bass player and songwriter Tori Morley known fo
 r her dynamic live performances. Alongside her in rhythm and writing is Mal
 colm Conat on the drums\, a local song writer\, producer\, and groovy drumm
 er. Lead guitar licks are fired up by Jerry Griffiths who is an in demand p
 layer on both guitar and drums in the local scene. Mike Morley handles the 
 rhythm guitar\, additional song writing\, and brings energy through kicks a
 nd martial art styled stage presence unlike anything you have ever seen! Th
 e band blends melodic hooks\, groove heavy arrangements\, and experimental 
 textures while staying rooted in bass forward songwriting. Imagine - if you
  will - Frank Zappa's compositional wit\, Steely Dan’s harmonic sophistic
 ation\, Ecca Vandals energy\, and Ponds grove melded into modern alt rock.Â
