DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to Light It Up\, a one-night immer
 sive celebration at The GRAND marking Woezo Africa’s 20th anniversary and
  the closing of the 5th annual Black Arts Development (BAD) Program 3 Week 
 Dance Intensive.\n\nThis is a full cultural experience of African\, Caribbe
 an\, and Black arts brought to life across one unforgettable evening. Guest
 s will experience live music and performances in the historic Lobby\, a cur
 ated visual arts exhibition in the Mezzanine Gallery\, and a community canv
 as that evolves into a collective artwork throughout the night.\n\nThe even
 ing features a high-energy stage showcase with youth and adult dancers perf
 orming choreography in Traditional Ethiopian Dance\, Kuduro\, Bikutsi\, Cou
 pé Décalé\, and Azonto\, guided by 5 world-class international instructo
 rs. For the first time in Calgary\, guest instructors Ordinateur (Paris) an
 d Akosua Akoto (Atlanta)\, both internationally acclaimed and highly respec
 ted figures in the global dance sector\, will also perform live.\n\nThe pro
 gram also includes the premiere of a 20 year documentary reflecting Woezo A
 frica’s journey and impact\, followed by an immersive finale and the unve
 iling of the completed community canvas.\n\nWe would be honoured to have yo
