SUMMARY:KOAC Saturday Sculpture Park Tours - Summer 2026
DESCRIPTION:A guided tour of the sculptures at KOAC at a unique art-in-natu
 re destination dedicated to the celebration of contemporary visual arts.\n\
 nAt the Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre\, nature is our gallery.\nYour guided tour 
 of the KOAC Sculpture Park will include the large-scale sculptures spread t
 hroughout the rolling\, open fields\, and if time allows - the smaller-scal
 e pieces situated in the private gardens and woods around the founders' hom
 e. The tour will last 1 - 1.5 hours and will bring you into KOAC's contempo
 rary art world with history and anecdotes about each of the 20 pieces in th
 e collection.\nThe focus of the Sculpture Park’s distinguished collection
  of Canadian and European modern and contemporary sculpture is large abstra
 ct welded steel works and cast concrete or bronze works from the 1960s to t
 he present. The goal is to preserve and showcase important\, quality works 
 of art\, and to invite the public to experience and celebrate the relations
 hip between sculpture and nature.\nWHAT TO BRING:\nAs the tour is entirely 
 outdoors\, please dress appropriately for the weather\, including water\, s
 unscreen and bug spray if the weather is hot and sunny\, and an umbrella or
  raincoat if things are not so sunny. You may choose to walk through some t
 all grasses so please dress appropriately. The tour will take you through o
 pen fields and some wooded paths so please wear comfortable and appropriate
  footwear\; closed-toed shoes are recommended.\nThe Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre
  is a place for art and artists\, for the curious\, for the novice and for 
 the expert alike – everyone is welcome to visit\, to make\, to learn and 
 to talk about contemporary art\, whether by traversing our sculpture ground
 s and gardens\, or visiting with our artists in studio during public progra
 ms and workshops.\nWe recommend a $20 donation per person for guided tours 
 of the sculpture park. These contributions directly support KOAC’s ongoin
 g work with artists\, audiences\, and communities\, while also helping us c
 are for and maintain the sculpture park grounds as a space for connection\,
  reflection\, and engagement with art in nature.\nAt the same time\, we bel
 ieve access to art and nature should remain welcoming and accessible. If th
 e recommended donation presents a financial barrier\, all visitors are stil
 l warmly welcome to attend free of charge.\n\nThe KO Arts Centre Society of
