 imagination\, symbolism and emotional depth through richly detailed charact
 ers and narrative scenes.\n\nSonia Garyayev’s (BFA '24\, Drawing) paintin
 gs reflect an ongoing practice centred on rethinking children’s illustrat
 ion. Rather than simplifying childhood into innocence alone\, the work appr
 oaches children as emotionally and psychologically complex individuals —
