SUMMARY:Sled Island presents: Cell Press\, LOBOTOMITE\, False Body and ENTW
 INE
DESCRIPTION:Cell Press\nNamed after a Russian prison torture method\, sludg
e three-piece Cell Press focuses on creating pummeling noisewalls for a dyi
ng world. Featuring members from acts like The Great Sabatini\, Architect a
nd The Chariot\, you can find beauty underneath the group’s brutal sounds
capes\, but only for those willing to endure the noise.\nLOBOTOMITE\nPresen
ting an unrelenting fusion of punk and extreme metal\, Montreal three-piece
LOBOTOMITE is here to crush. With double bass guitars\, blast beats and vo
cals echoing into a world on fire\, the band channels powerviolence\, noise
rock and grindcore into an explosive live show brought forth with unmatche
d intensity.\nFalse Body\nPulling influences across the heavy music spectru
m to develop a chaotic\, grinding\, groovy sound that is uniquely their own
\, genre-blending hardcore four-piece False Body are known for their tense
and frenetic live shows. Start with their latest release Quietly\, It’s G
one for a two-song punch to the gut.\nENTWINE\nInitially formed with the so
le intention of being a scary band to pad out hardcore bills\, ENTWINE has
since developed into so much more. The heavy four-piece (featuring members
of Abrupt Decay\, Killing of a Sacred Deer\, and Satanic Tea Co.) now descr
ibe the project as “a love letter to ‘90s mathcore/metalcore and Y2K-er
a media.”\nImportant info:Start and running times are subject to change.
