DESCRIPTION:Newzones is thrilled to announce "Open Window"\, an upcoming so
 lo exhibition of new work by Canadian contemporary colour-field painter\, J
 onathan Forrest. \n\nWe're excited to invite you to join Newzones for the e
 xhibition opening on Saturday\, June 6th from 2-4pm with artist Jonathan Fo
 rrest in attendance. \n\nThe exhibition will be on view at Newzones Gallery
  of Contemporary Art through June and July. It can further be previewed and
  viewed online through our website. \n \n\nForrest paints with an exuberanc
 e of colour and full shapes which fill his canvases. His artwork displays a
  unique colour sensibility and painting process which build upon lessons le
 arned over forty years of studio work. \n\nIn the fall of 2025 Forrest atte
 nded a classical music concert in an old church in the old quarter of Nanai
 mo. During this event\, he took notice of the stained glass windows in the 
 venue and their effects of colour and light. In the following months the wi
 ndows stuck in Forrest's mind and he began working on paintings that used t
 he windows as a taking off point\, which in turn became the basis for his n
