  The Tree Party is a springtime gathering that showcases and celebrates urb
 an greening projects with an emphasis on building citizen-led initiatives. 
 Presented by the Women Who Get Sh*t Done in collaboration with Calgary Clim
 ate Hub and Calgary Public Library. \nThis year's Tree Party marks Calgary'
 s first ever "Bloom"\, a Plant Baby Plant community activation that turns i
 nspiration into action. Robin Wall Kimmerer (author of Braiding Sweetgrass)
  will give a video welcome to the event and to the Plant Baby Plant movemen
 t\, sharing its message of joy and reciprocity. You are invited to come and
  listen to inspiring talks from changemakers\, connect at fun hands-on crea
 tive workshops for all and engage in deep dive talks from a range of expert
 s. \nWe are excited to present keynote speakers Erna Buffie from Winnipeg\,
  Carole Monture from Indigenous Climate Action\, Dr Ken Fry\, Catherine Ham
 el and Saddiq Mohiuddin\, alongside a packed lineup of sessions to deep div
 e on themes from community building to nature clubs for youth\, and from co
 mposting to rainwater harvesting. Crown making\, seed ball making and tree 
 painting fun for kids\, as well as lots of information booths to learn more
  about urban greening initiatives in Calgary! \nThis event is free and all
