DESCRIPTION:Canada Paints Plein Air is back for its second year in Calgary 
 and calling to artists for a one-day summertime event at Bow Valley in Fish
  Creek Provincial Park.\n\nApplications are open now for Canada Paints Plei
 n Air Competition being held Saturday\, August 8\, 2026. Beginners welcome!
 \n\nThe competition’s entry fee is $35 and applications close June 15\, 2
 026.\n\nFrom applications received\, a total of eight artists will be jurie
 d into the competition. Cash prize for 1st place: $1\,000\, 2nd place $500 
 and 3rd place $250. Artists who apply and are not juried into the main comp
 etition are automatically invited to attend the event and paint with a chan
 ce to win as a wildcard or longshot entry with prizes. A show and sale foll
