SUMMARY:Sled Island presents: Often Wrong\, Pinball 1973\, Fionavair and G.
 U.S.H.
DESCRIPTION:Often Wrong\nCombining a DIY attitude and emotionally vulnerabl
e lyrics\, Often Wrong creates a combination of emo and post-hardcore inspi
red by bands such as Unwound\, Slint\, and Train Breaks Down\, and authors
such as Franz Kafka and Sylvia Plath\, coupling tragic monologues of spoken
word with cathartic screamed choruses.\nPinball\, 1973\nFresh off the rele
ase of their live EP At Loophole\, Pinball\, 1973 brings a prairie sound to
the Midwest emo genre. Blending the melodic sounds of American Football wi
th the energy of Blink-182\, the trio is here to top you off with a stimula
ting cocktail of indie punk. Keep an eye out for their debut EP coming soon
!\nFionavair\nCharacterized by soft vocals and loud guitars\, Montreal’s
Fionavair draws inspiration from cold winters\, lust\, and bears. The indie
four-piece blends elements of post-rock\, shoegaze\, grunge\, dream pop an
d more into a delicious little cocktail\, and you can’t have just one. Ch
eck out their latest track “Neighbours” for a taste of what to expect.\
 nG.U.S.H.\nPropelled by a deep love of hooks\, low-tuned guitars\, and inte
nsely musical drumming\, G.U.S.H. has built on the traditional sound of gru
nge and added elements of shoegaze\, post-rock and metal to arrive at a sou
nd both unique and familiar to anyone looking for emotional release.\nImpor
