SUMMARY:Sled Island presents: Flooding\, Horse Rider\, Pike and Witch Victi
 m
DESCRIPTION:FloodingAs overwhelming as rising water\, Flooding drifts throu
gh heavy-lidded tempos and haunted compositions with doom-y\, slow‑burn i
ntensity. Their latest release object 1 folds post‑rock haze\, shoegaze w
eight\, and Midwestern atmosphere into a hypnotic dream from which there’
s no waking… and when it’s this captivating\, why would you want to? \n
Horse Rider\nIf you squint hard enough\, you can try to slot them into the
“emo” label\, but Horse Rider plays neither the stoned math rock nor th
e emotionally volatile pop-punk that’s been associated with the term in r
ecent years. Instead\, the four-piece creates an intensely melancholic bran
d of melodic indie rock\, with influences of slowcore\, power pop and more.
\nPike\nFeaturing members of Mox Jet\, Pallor\, KT Laine\, Pearly Moon and
Aladean Kheroufi\, Pike is an Edmonton-based indie rock supergroup crafting
guitar driven music that shifts between shoegaze-influenced noise and soft
immersive dream pop. For fans of bands like Horse Jumper of Love and Duste
 r\, get seasoned with their 2025 release final words/dean's place.\nWitch V
ictimWith fuzzed-out guitars\, floating vocals and hypnotic motorik grooves
\, Witch Victim crafts a lush psych-shoegaze drift. Humming with quiet tens
ion and warm nostalgia\, the five-piece pulls listeners into a soft\, swirl
ing dreamstate on their latest self-titled release. It’s a slow-building
 storm\; swirling\, immersive\, and leaving behind a trail of reverb. \nImpo
