SUMMARY:Sled Island presents: schoolyard\, CAT PISS and BRIDGELAND
DESCRIPTION:schoolyard\nCreating an irresistible alt-punk racket that rides
the line between noise and melody\, schoolyard captures raw energy and emo
tion in their dynamic sound. Driven by a passion for blending diverse genre
s\, the three-piece merges a gritty garage rock vibe with indie and punk in
fluences\, resulting in something that feels both fresh and nostalgic. \nCA
T PISS \nFormed in July of 2023\, synth-punks CAT PISS have been clawing t
heir way through Calgary’s underground with brutal experimentation. Fresh
off opening for FEAR at Winterruption and tearing through this year’s Bo
b-Sled\, their gritty and enigmatic sound is a raw mix of atonal guitars\,
primal percussion and hypnotically nauseating synths. \nBRIDGELAND\nFeaturi
ng members of Witch Victim\, L'Omlette\, and Cheer (not to mention being fr
onted by Chris Zajko of Melted Mirror)\, BRIDGELAND brings impressive music
ianship to their kosmische-tinged take on post-punk. From their origins at
the Sled Island Rock Lotto to numerous festival appearances\, catching a BR
IDGELAND show is a Sled tradition at this point.\n \nImportant info:Start
