DESCRIPTION:Encuentros is a musical meeting of Flamenco and Arabic traditio
 ns.Featuring traditional Flamenco and Arabic music and dance alongside fusi
 on works\, the program explores the cultural exchanges and shared influence
 s between these vibrant artistic traditions.\nThe performance brings togeth
 er an ensemble of musicians and dancers whose traditions meet on stage in a
  vibrant exchange of rhythm and movement. Vocalist and flamenco dancer Anne
 tte Morcos leads the program\, performing in both Spanish and Arabic. She i
 s joined by Michael Boyle on flamenco guitar\, Ayham Kardouh on oud\, Josia
 ne Saba on qanun\, and Bob Fenske on percussion\, as well as dancers Jessic
 a Peñalver-Côté and Anastassiia Alexander in interpreting flamenco movem
 ents\, alongside Arabic dance by Nico Hernandez and guest dancers. Together
 \, the artists create a rich soundscape where flamenco and Arabic musical t
