Purpose of the Award:
To honour an individual’s commitment and longevity in the tourism and hospitality industry which is demonstrated by 20+ years of continuous service.
Criteria:
- A commitment to the tourism and hospitality industry through continuous service for a minimum of 20 years.
- How the nominee has contributed to the enhancement of the industry by holding high standards of service throughout their career.
- A true Calgary Ambassador.

All levels of management
- Owners/Operators
- C-Suite & Senior Management
- Frontline employees
- Volunteers
Submissions should:
- Be completed by the employee and/or employer for accuracy, eligibility requirements and to ensure a strong and comprehensive submission.
- Include an up-to-date, resume, or official employer letter, with a description of the nominees’ current role and years of service.
- Include any support material (i.e., staff awards, commendations, certificates of achievement, letters of support, etc.)
- Once a submission is received, Tourism Calgary will organize for an official photo to be taken of the nominee o if required.
- Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
How to be nominated:
- By invitation: Nominees who are identified as being exceptional candidates, (at their official standard category interview), are invited by the Calgary White Hat Awards committee (via email), to submit a nomination in the recommended honorary category.
- By Employer: Nominees who are identified as being exceptional candidates, by their employer, can be nominated in either of the honorary categories through the online portal.

- Submissions deadline is Monday, March 23, 2026 at, 12:00 PM
Process:
- Upon receipt of the submission, the submitter will receive a confirmation email.
- No further correspondence will be provided on the status of the submission.
- The selection committee’s decision will be based solely on the information provided in the honorary submission.
- Tourism Calgary and the Calgary White Hat Awards Committee reserves the right to reject any submission(s) or nomination(s) at their discretion.
- All winners will be announced live at the Calgary White Hat Awards Gala.
