Tourism Calgary: Industry Briefing & Status Update Request (June 26)

We are reaching out to the tourism community to see how you are doing, what your status is and to let you know our situation.

Our first concern has been to the safety of those working in our industry. We hope you are safely back in your homes, and that you’ll be back to work soon.

Tourism Calgary’s office lost power during the flood. Our servers and email system are currently down. At the moment many of the Tourism Calgary staff are being housed at Travel Alberta as we work together to support Calgary’s tourism community.

We can be reached on twitter @tourismcalgary or at

Tourism Calgary will be rallying the industry as we let the world know our legendary western hospitality is alive, strong and ready to welcome visitors this summer. We are asking our industry to fill out a brief status update.

Please follow the link – it should only take a few minutes to complete. Calgary’s tourism community wishes to express its best wishes and support to the communities gravely affected by the flood beyond Calgary’s borders. We appreciate the difficulties you are all facing through this crisis and recovery period. We are here to tell your story and direct people to your doors when you are ready to welcome them. We’re here to back you up. Please stay connected.
