Football in Calgary has a long tradition – like, a century long. It started in 1909, with a team called the Calgary Tigers, and the Calgary Stampeders have been scoring touchdowns here since 1945. From June to November, Calgarians flock to McMahon Stadium to cheer the team on (and maybe get in a tailgate party or two).
Head to the Stadium to catch some of the best rivalries in Canadian football, especially games between the Stamps and the Edmonton Eskimos or the Saskatchewan Roughriders – excitement among the fans is as much fun to watch as the game itself. And ticket prices? Totally reasonable for a pro sports outing! There are even "family friendly" zones in the stadium, so kids can enjoy themselves, too.
You can purchase tickets online via Ticketmaster, or by stopping in at McMahon Stadium's box office.
