There's plenty to keep you busy for the day (or days, if you like) at the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park. You'll find it right at the base of Mount Rundle, just outside of the town of Canmore, and criss-crossed with trails just waiting for your skis, boots, or bike wheels.

The park's day lodge has information about current trail conditions, day lockers, washrooms, showers, and food and beverage service. You can also make reservations for meeting space or ski waxing.

To get to the park from Calgary, take Hwy. 1 to Canmore, then turn left at the Three Sisters Parkway. Turn left at Three Sisters Drive (Hwy. 742), which turns into Spray Lakes Road, and follow the signs.
