People have skied on Mount Norquay since 1926 – that’s a long time! It's long been a popular destination for Albertans who like to get out on the slopes, especially families.
Today, there are runs for beginners and for experts, so the whole family can spend the day out in the mountains. Experts, check out the steep, mogul-studded runs, including Upper Lone Pine, for a real challenge. Beginners, head to the easier runs – still a thrill, and a fantastic place to build your skills.
Want to try something else? Go tubular! There are multiple snow-tubing sliding lanes (including a kid-friendly area) as well as lift access. Head out with your family, your friends, or even your colleagues.
When you're done for the day (or if you just need a break from the excitement) head to Cascade Lodge. Upstairs, you'll find a pub and restaurant, where you can sip a cold brew or grab a bite to eat as you marvel at the mountain views. You'll also find ski lockers, a deli and cafeteria, washrooms, and the ski school desk in the spacious, rustic lodge.
And speaking of the ski school, here's your chance to sharpen your skills (or acquire new ones), with lessons for kids and adults. There are one-time sessions or multi-week programs, depending on how often you'll be out there.
There's also a place to gather – a 24,000 square foot space that you can use to host a variety of events, including corporate retreats, private functions, and weddings. Gorgeous scenery included, regardless of whether it's work or play.
