Brunch and lunch at the Deane House Restaurant is not your typical meal out, in large part because of the beautiful, historic setting. The Deane House is one of Calgary's best known historic sites, popular with city residents and visitors alike. Originally built in 1906 for the Superintendent of Fort Calgary, Captain Richard Deane, the house has been restored to its original glory and is perhaps the only building left from the original Fort Calgary site.
Several evenings a week, year-round, the Deane House hosts a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, an interactive show that includes a four-course dinner. The audience is directly involved in the show, watching for clues and trying to solve the mystery – even questioning suspects – as they work on appetizers, a main course, and dessert.
Reservations are required for the dinner theatre, and recommended for brunch and lunch.
