River Cafe

The River Café is nestled amongst a grove of poplars, beside a sparkling lagoon on Prince’s Island Park. The hand-crafted feel of the fishing lodge décor at the River Café, accented with a fieldstone hearth, woven-willow chairs and fly-fishing tackle, suits a menu inspired by Alberta and British Columbia. The River Café’s menu changes monthly with the seasons, and the availability of organic and free-range products from local farmers and producers.

The River Café can only be accessed by the Bow River pathways, providing a serene setting that is rare within a large city. The café provides quite views of downtown and the surrounding park that are best enjoyed with good company and a fine glass of wine. The River Café consistently ranks among Calgary’s best fine dining establishments.
