The Afrikadey! Arts & Cultural Society shares the rich creative works of African cultures – from the continent and throughout the Diaspora – with Calgarians and visitors from around the world. The Society focuses on developing young African artists in Calgary by promoting their work at events and exhibits all year.

The African peoples’ vibrant artistic traditions are brought to life every August at the Afrikadey! African Festival in Prince’s Island Park. The Afrikadey! celebration features music, literature, arts, dance and cuisine. Afrikadey! provides a fun atmosphere for experiencing and learning about African cultures.

This year's event takes place August 5 to August 11, 2012. See online Afrikadey! event schedule for full details.
