Get ready for another shindig! Locomotive Ghost is releasing the next album in their themed record series, and they’re throwing a party to celebrate. “Summer” will be released at an outdoor community music and food event in Bridgeland on Sunday, July 14th. Yes, it’s the final day of Stampede, but by 4:00 you should have recovered from your last evening out and be ready to start the next one. The afternoon/evening show will feature performances by talented, young blues artist Mitch Belot, locally famed singer/songwriter and nice guy Brent Tyler and Edmonton folk-rock stars The Collective West (they’re also nice). Come for music, stay for dinner! There will be chili and BBQ meals available, as well as remarkably delicious fruit for snacking brought by The Apple Lady. Non-alcoholic beverages and draft beer will also be available. The event is a fundraiser and membership drive for Arusha and Open Streets Calgary. Existing Arusha members can buy tickets for $5. Everyone else gets the benefits of a three-year Arusha membership for only $10 before the price of their $5 ticket (for a total cost of $15 to get in to the event). Tickets will be available at the door.
