Alberta's Burning Man Film Festival
In Calgary on Friday & in Edmonton on Sunday, Alberta will host a unique film festival which exposes audiences to the art, people and phenomenon known as Burning Man. Once a year, tens of thousands of participants gather for Burning Man in Nevada's Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. They depart one week later, having left no trace whatsoever. In addition to the annual event, Burning Man is also an ever-expanding year-round culture based on a set of Ten Principles, and a source of creative inspiration for communities around the world. The evening will include documentary short and feature films, introductions by local 'Burners', performances, and unique artworks. These films are provided by the filmmakers and the Burning Man Project to allow local exposure of the Burning Man experience, and to support fundraising opportunities by participants in their own cities. Experience it for yourself at Alberta's Burning Man Film Festival in Calgary on Friday, May 24th at the Globe Cinema. Alberta Burning Man Film Festival is a licensed 18+ event.
