Alberta Southwest Regional Economic Development Alliance serves fifteen communities in the southwest corner of Alberta. The region is rich in history and is well known for its beautiful vistas and wide open spaces.

The birthplace of wind energy in Canada, the region is also where the prairies meet the Rocky Mountains creating dramatic skies and cloud formations. Scenic drive options include the Cowboy Trail or the Crowsnest Pass highway. Traveling along these scenic routes will bring you to our communities steeped with history.

The historical sites in the region include Remington Carriage Museum, Frank Slide and Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump. For outdoor adventurers visit Waterton Lakes National Park, go camping, fishing, golfing, hiking, biking or riding. Visiting in the winter? Ski and cat ski at Castle Mountain Resort.
