The Aero Space Museum of Calgary is located just south of the Calgary International Airport.  The building in which the museum collection is held had its origins in the founding of the British Commonwealth Air Training Program in Calgary.  Built in 1941, it was the drill hall for the #37 Secondary Flight Training School.  The museum features a wide variety of civilian and military aircraft spanning the entire century of Canadian flight.  It currently holds over 20 aircraft, from a Sopwith Triplane to the Avro CF-100 Canuck, and allows guests to experience the history of Western Canadian aviation up close.

The museum contains aircraft, exhibits, uniforms, and scale models.  Restoration projects are ongoing and have produced a newly painted Lancaster bomber as of the summer of 2011.
